This is what happened when they put the rat in a WRX

I’m currently on the market for a new car, and as much as I like the idea of an EV, I keep crawling back the the PHEV’s. They’re just the best of both worlds. 80%-90% of my time would most likely be on EV power with just 30-40 miles of range. I don’t have any wait times for charging if I’m low on electricty, I can

Most cyclists just want to safely get where they are going and are doing their best to do so.”

The last thing anyone needs is chronic tailgaters teaching their car how to drive like an asshole.

Counter point the 2022 Mitsubishi 3000GT will be appearing on the future version of this list.

The BMW version will be called the Stealth.

GM does not underrate hp numbers.

I need more data.

Why not just say what people are thinking David? Seems like GM already has Jalopnik on their shitlist so you won’t get a demo car anyways. Motor Trend almost comes out and says it and they did get the car. I’ll go ahead and say it:

He sold it.

Aero engineer here. The simple answer is power density and weight of batteries. Keep in mind that you have to generate enough lift to carry them, in addition to the plane, cargo, and passengers. Given a relatively fixed speed, that means somehow dramatically increasing the coefficient of lift. You can do it for

It is almost like Aaron doesn’t realize airfare is already taxed, and if you travel more you already pay more tax. He seems to be getting desperate in coming up with new ways to say vehicular travel is bad on a car blog.

Not everyone who logs miles in an airplane is a billionaire jet-setter. A fair number of frequent fliers (myself included) are having their travel paid for by their employer. Increasing the cost of those flights isn’t going to reduce the amount that I travel, it’ll just increase the amount my company pays for that

Softbank is valuing your IPO at $80 a share. Congrats!

Is today opposite day?

The downside I see with that, is that if you are traveling long range, you probably have a bunch of crap with you, and switching cars at a waypoint, becomes cumbersome.

Any reason that you’re going exclusively with EV’s? PHEV’s seem to have all the benefits you’re looking for, especially while the EV technology develops at a rapid pace to catch up.

All this range anxiety is way overblown. The vast majority of people will be more than fine w/ 200 miles. Think about the fact that you can ‘fill up’ your car at home every night while you sleep. The worst you deal with is having one charge stop on a long trip, and who doesn’t stop for a rest when driving 300-400
