premium gas has also more detergents... this is particularly important when it comes to fuel injectors and turbos. The more deposits you leave behind, the more you’ll pay in the long run.
As a certified BMW technician, you got feed a load of garbage. We do not remove turbochargers for inspection under maintenance and there is no such thing as turbocharger cleanup. Godspeed on your motoring endeavours and stop spreading misinformation.
ps: Also if you throw in a bottle of octane booster on long trips, you’ll save several gallons per tank.

Funny you asked... all the sport coupes I’ve owned required 96 octane which is not available in the US unless you use octane boosters.

Alternatively, you can add NOS directly to the fuel system. Gas stations sell them in cans, typically in the refrigerated section to keep them fresh.
I think that looks pretty great, actually. It has gotten a bit bulky for my tastes over the years, though.
Used EVOs from 2006 are still selling for mid to high 20's with some 60K miles. I know, I sold mine recently.
