I agree it CAN work great, but it has to be the right context. In Star Wars, it works fine because we have a ton of characters we know and love reappearing, and we're seeing an origin story, not to mention tons of lightsabers.

Sad. I loved this game, and a prequel doesn't compliment it's atmosphere at all. I was so into the main story because I literally knew nothing about what was coming, so maybe Joel had died on that metal bar and you played as Ellie the rest of the game!? That's what made it so awesome and unique for me.

I am so glad they did Naughty Dog right off the bat. I wasn't interested in anything but Last of Us and had every possible body part crossed for an Uncharted announcement. I almost peed.

I actually like Megan Fox, so this isn't a bash post, but I have to wonder: how much was she paid for this? Unless there's a pile of cut footage, this would be literally, what, an hour of work? Makeup and a single line? Seems like if you're acquiring a name that recognizable you'd use her in most of the trailer.

I've loved this game since the original, but I have so much trouble getting behind the EV/IV stuff. Not only would it be frustrating, but it seems so incredibly tedious. Gabe summed it up PERFECTLY for me when Diamond/Pearl came out:
