True but they could have at least made the deviants look more Kirby inspired.

Wow, OK. I understand why they waited so long to show the Deviants. They are ... yeah. Weightless CGI squiggle monsters from planet generica.

I think his point may be that Black Panther is so closely tied to POC representation, that disliking it can become...controversial. For instance, I honestly didn’t really like the movie (compared to a lot of the other marvel films) and have been railed for it.

I kind of agree. I get that horror movies mirror the time we live in, and we live in a pretty goddamn depressing time, but we need some fucking monsters (and not must monsters that are A Profound Metaphor For What We’re All Dealing With In The Parlance Of Our Times).

There’s some kind of serious irony in complaining about not having creative monster designs when discussing a film made by the guy who directed The Ritual.

Staring at this comment in Barry Sandersness…

Have you seen The Empty Man? It starts out seeming like a relatively conventional horror movie but just keeps getting weirder. It’s not very Carpenter-esque though. The Void, from a few years back, is much more in that mold.

To your point on it actually being good...I’m not sure. I played the first hour and a half last night and left feeling like I did with the full game—an overwhelming feeling of “this is fine.”

Kotaku advertises Black Panther as the game’s best DLC, wow, I’m totally fucking shocked.

That’s the good shit right there because it also means Law and Order is in that universe, and that is one wild rabbit hole. Munch also appeared in an American Dad episode, so that means all the Seth McFarlane shows are connected too.

X-Files does have creepy black alien goo...

I feel like if you throw Det. Munch in to a show you open up so many insane possibilities for what is connected. Some directors need to just start trolling us and have Belzer in the background shot in his full Munch get up at random times.

Well, if folks can be fired for wearing MAGA hats, I don’t see the problem. Both situations are wrong though.

The US got exactly what it wanted out of its occupation of Afghanistan for decades — staggering amounts of wealth transferred to the military, defense contractors, and mercenary groups, continual justification for increased defense budgets, and a steady supply of dark money for our intelligence services via resumed

So they got screwed over by their stubborn reliance on the same ancient game engine that they used to build Morrowind with, and the same basic janky physics bug that has been present for roughly 20 years now. I’m shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

It's not a bug, it's a fea... wait, it actually is a bug.

Saying feminism was used to justify the invasion of Afghanistan is revisionist history, IMO.

I could stare at those huge tits all day long.
