I wanna say ‘97 was the last year for the manuel 4Runners.

That 260HP motor was a 4.0L stroked version of Chrysler’s SOHC 3.5 from 1897. Overall not the worst motor they’ve made (ala the 2.7 V6, but both fell from the same tree) but not the best either. I had one in a minivan, and it was using about 1.5-3qts of oil per 3000 miles. All “normal” to the morons at Chrysler

My wife and I have had the same conversation. We had 2 Dodge minivans (an 08 and a 10).

Ya know Andrew, this is really a no-brainer for Dodge. They have the engine development already done, the vehicle development done, they just need to marry the two together. Another expensive SUV (but in a different price bracket than the SRT GC) equals higher profit margins. This is something FCA needs more of.

All of you auto bloggers are setting us all up for disappointment when it turns out to NOT be the square jawed photoshop job created by the Bronco forum. This is going to be a lose/lose for Ford. They really needed to show off some sheetmetal for the ‘17 NAIAS. The way they’ve announced it is just stirring the pot

Now playing

Yikes, kinda low torque figures from a V10. I also prefer the sound of the IS-F V8 over the V10. The Lexus V10 in the LFA truly sounds like Indy. I know, totally next level pricing on the LFA but still an Indy aspiring V10.

I almost did buy one of these. Too bad the interior is kinda outdated. Even the 3.8 V6 Genesis is an amazing car.

Perhaps GM’s anti-quality crept in over time at NUMMI?

You also found an 85-86 F150 in that pic (truck with the silver tailgate and red reflector), like this ‘86

Word. Remember how worthless IBM was in the 90s? The author probably doesn’t.

I am GM’s worst enemy, but I think thats a handsome ride, even with the 22s. Shrug.

They installed a factory steering wheel that looks exactly like junky fake wood steering wheel covers from Pep Boys. How did they know I wanted that in a $60k truck?? Mindreaders, the whole lot of em!

Did they at least include a new timing chain while they had it all apart?

Not much to criticize here. I was gonna say they blew their budget on tires... Until they plunged into the water.

Safety’s on bruh.

A friend of mine was a Pepsi employee and if you offered him a coke he would act like you handed him a can of human feces to drink. They play hardball in the sugar water biz.

This even extends to dealerships. My mom worked in a GM dealer for 30 odd years and refuses to even test drive any thing but a GM. She drives a Terrain that’s about 3 years old and that thrashy EcoTec runs rougher than about every Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine I’ve ever seen. Yet, she is thinking about buying

Umm... photoshop?

I’ve done something similar. I had a 93 Toyota pickup with a 22RE, and I got the brilliant idea of putting an oil pressure gauge on it. There was an unused port on the block already tapped and ready, just pull the plug and screw in the sending unit.

No worries. Just a midget corpse.
