And this is the second one that’s originally by an Austrian director, no less. Unfortunately Jessica Hausner’s Little Joe is already in English.
Mank, a movie about screenwriting, that is the only Best Picture nominee this year not to receive a writing nomination.
Though Larry David did threaten to bring him back on occasion to keep the cast and crew in line.
LOL slightly off-topic, but relevant: one year in HS our teacher assigned Julius Caesar, Lord of the Flies, A Separate Peace, The Return of The Native, and a fifth I can’t remember, but pretty certain someone was killed as well. By the end we were convinced she was a serial killer.
I wish Kate & Allie was rerun/streamed somewhere. It seems like there are lots of lousy old sitcoms that show up on my weird cable channels like MeTV and Antenna TV, so why not something reasonably good?

I really shouldn’t give a shit about this, but daytime soaps have been a thing since the days of radio, and it’s kind of sad to see them all go.
Also rom-coms back then (late 90s/uber early 00's) still had personality and their own brand of ‘awww what the hell’ charm; How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days was the beginning of the end (at least that’s what my brain insists).
