It’s called “Pilot Sport Cup 2”. It’s totally different than Cup 1, or Super Sport.

It’s not a fake grill. Covering the crash bar in plastic lowers drag.
3.0TFSI FTW.
First, the EPA should put this car in the crusher. I can’t even allow them to mark it export only and foist it on China. Second, you’d probably get really hurt if you got in a 40 MPH crash in this car. Not ideal.
Racetracks are notoriously noisy and if they were at Sea World locations they’d probably have to limit decibels to 93, which means no aftermarket exhausts or open exhausts.
Personally I think I’d go 2008 Maserati Quattroporte in the “Sport GT” or “Sport GT S” trim, which includes the really bad ass muffler. I don’t think anyone who needs to save money for 8 years is going to buy a car that gets 11 MPG on premium.
Yeah it’s a lot wider. Picks up a lot of the 991 styling queues (headlamps and such) and the interior is straight 991. This one is mostly base model with just a few safety and low-cost styling options. The upcoming turbo models should be great, but the NA motors are adequate (more bark than bite really).
Selling the $320i a month in the United States was a new low for them. What kind of luxury car has 100 HP?
True story, in San Francisco none of this is illegal. Even if it was, it wouldn’t be enforced nor prosecuted.
I’d probably go with the Porsche. I like the brand, ease of service, that cold German predictability, and those exhaust tips behind the roll bars.
It doesn’t matter how much horsepower this car has. Does it have a vacuum cleaner on board like the other minivans in this class?
The leather slats on the Porsche are so you can do a two tone color, like black dash and red vents. The Rolls Royce umbrella is because it rains in the UK every day. The Daytona wing is actually functional in creating downforce in addition to the bed gate, but they also create a lot of drag and you have to be going…
It’s kind of like buying an airplane you don’t know to fly so you just taxi it around the runway.
Nah, regular height. Clutch was sticking so my shifts were a bit deliberate.
Nah man, alignment fixes everything.
There’s an order of operations. First you have to be a good enough driver to get within a few seconds of the best time for a street Porsche, like a base Cayman. Let’s say that is 1:46 at Laguna Seca. Well your first time out you’re going to have a hard time doing much better than 1:59 and might well be over 2 minutes.…
It’s more like “why buy a supercar” because it’s in poor taste to use a 200 MPH car to go 20 MPH around Robertson Blvd in LA.
My S4 is literally making 200 WHP more than the 320i.
This car has made a lot of promises, set a relatively high price for a new entrant to the class, and has a lot to prove. Like can you run it at a track in California in 100 degree heat all day and not have it limp home. It took BMW a few tries to get this right (see the N54, N55, S55, and whatever a 340i engine is…
Heh the 320i makes 180 WHP on a Dynojet. You’re looking at low 160’s WHP on a proper Mustang dyno.
