I never liked the G35 / G37 crowd. It’s like they wanted a nice car but were to afraid to “own” that persona. They didn’t have the balls to walk into a luxury dealership and take what they wanted. The VQ engine was kind of a piece of cap in 2005, and is unforgivably bad 10 years later. It may have a decent peak

Jaguar and Land Rover are both about $11k too expensive in the US market. Cost cutting should help them be competitive again.

I love me some aero kits.

You can call me anything you want but you’ll never wipe the smile off of my face.

The 3 series is a good first “real car”. You can get into one for about $35k if you want to see what they’re all about. It feels smug as hell to drive one. They’re sub-luxury cars that used to have very good steering, and might again when their EPS catches up to Porsche. They have a huge tuner market and for about

There’s a lot of good inventory for right around $60,000. This is one case where Jalopnik eBay isn’t totally misleading, only low by about $5k.

Saying you think this render is ugly is like saying you think a car looks ugly on Xbox. It’s simply not ugly in real life. Maybe you just have a junky computer screen?

Is your exotic better looking? Because most people are impressed (stopped in their tracks) when they see an R8, even if they know nothing about cars.

At least VW knows how to prioritize. Shows how many R&D projects unfunded they had.

There’s no track like the Ring in America so I’m not sure it matters. Laguna time is what matters in this car, and we saw last week that the Viper ACR owns that. It’s pretty close to a GT3 Cup Car in lap time, which is fucking absurd!!

The GT3 is definitely more fun, in the Disney roller coaster I can’t get hurt sort of way. The Viper is like performing brain surgery on the president while getting a blow job with a gun to your head after not sleeping for 48 hours, and you’re on top of a moving bullet train. It’s exhausting just putting it in reverse

I think I’d want AWD with that much power.

If you don’t understand aero, get a HELLCAT.

I think a GT350R would beat a 991 GTS 7 speed by a second or so around a 2 minute track.

It’s very easy to drive a 991 GT3 fast without any experience in a rear engined car. I picked it up in about 4 laps.

Props to the Lexus LS and any Crown Victoria derivative like the town car. Both bulletproof.

No, the ignition switch locked the steering wheel and shut off the airbag.

Not building luxury cars is probably one reason. You have to have a luxury brand that transcends whatever value engineered piece of steel and plastic you’re trying to sell. This works very well for BMW, which basically sells VW prestige level cars for a very high price (on the low end of their offerings).

This new motor from the S3 is kind of a turd. Something is not right with it. I’ve seen it not take a tune too well. White smoke coming out everywhere.
