Labor getting stronger is going to be a lot more useful in fighting inequality than technical changes in the tax code.

Rich people and their accountants and tax lawyers can easily evade the latter - but when you have powerful unions carrying out lots of strikes, it gives the rich very little  room to maneuver

Bernie Sanders is explicitly pro worker and pro union and has been his entire political career, going back to when he was mayor of Burlington, VT.

The unions have voted to authorize a strike - that’s not the same thing as calling a strike.

Usually, a strike authorization vote is a negotiating tactic, it’s not an actual strike call

As a rule, a union isn’t on strike until the workers have actually walked off the job

Every worker has a right to a defense when the employer is trying to discipline them - even if the worker is wrong.

It’s the same principle as every criminal defendant having a right to an attorney who will vigorously defend them, even if they are guilty as hell.

The UAW - like all unions - protects the rights of employees, including their right to only be fired for good cause

GM can still fire a worker - they just have to have a good reason, and be able to prove it to a neutral arbitrator

Why exactly do you have a problem with that?
