New York is a mass transit city - that’s how most of us commute

However, ever since Bloomberg was mayor, the bike people have had a voice disproportionate to their portion of the traffic.

The silent majority who take the buses and subways, who neither drive nor bike, get ignored

Most of us don’t even have a driver’s license, let alone own a car

We don’t ride bicycles either (that’s mainly a tiny but very vocal group of hipster transplants)

We have a really elaborate bus and subway system here in NYC, and regional commuter train lines - and that’s how most New Yorkers commute

I built a multi use hirise - the Time Warner Center

Most of the people who work there could not afford to live there - I believe the apartments cost $4 million each (and that’s not including the maintenance fee every month)

Unless there’s some developer out there who wants to build an office building with low income…

Here’s an even more radical idea - grow up, buy a metrocard, and take the bus to work (like people who are actually from New York do), instead of riding a damn bike
