I’m Black, and old enough that I’ve had family denied service because of race - so I’m really not comfortable with business owners refusing service to customers

You can still get sued, and/or have a complaint filed against you with your local human rights commission, and the judge gets to decide if you were acting in a discriminatory manner or not.

You’ll need a lawyer for that.....and those cost money.
