Too early for Dieselgate, but definitely a soot spewer. I believe Dieselgate resulted from the implementation of stricter emission rules in 2010.

Yeah, too bad I missed this one. I would have suggested Subaru Orange, the previous gen Civic Si in lime green, a Porsche 356 in pale yellow, and maybe a 70's Ferrari in a proper 70's color! (There were many! Not just red!)

This video is severely underrated here. I hope it gets credited up the whazoo!

What’s the price for good V* powered fun? I don’t know, but this doesn’t feel like it. For someone who wants this kind of thing, the price is probably close enough that he’ll get inquiries. I’m certainly not the target customer.

Yeah, I was thinking that 75hp seems low even for 1983, but a quick look says that was a reasonable 4 cylinder power for the time. Still not enough for me.

Yes, we’ll just agree that it’s all bad.

There is no good rape and bad rape.

Yeah, I normally don’t go for convertibles, but this is the way to go for drop-top GT cruising! The coupe is supposedly very cramped, so this may be the best way to experience the XJ-S.

You mean “badass choices”! Am I right???

Looks like this decision is going to earn the executives a hefty bonus for those minimal cost savings!

^^^ This! Last I checked “straight pipe” meant “illegal” to any jurisdiction which cared to do their job. Crush this thing.

Love the article! I try to tell people that sometimes it’s fun to just go for a drive. It’s only a chore to drive if the time of day is inconvenient and taking me away from something else. (Sometimes I don’t love dropping-off or picking my kid up from events.)

Yeah. Slide shows are allowed to have front-back views if someone wants to spend 3 minutes on Photoshop. This is filler though, so what the heck.

Wow! That sailor was sleeping when his CO spoke about the rules for shore leave. I find it hard to believe he wasn’t told that this was a bad idea by someone. He obviously didn’t do any homework about Australia, either.

Chrysler’s leather in the 90's must have been pretty saggy! There should not be that distinct of an ass-groove on a car with 32,000 miles on it!

It might have sold more, since this is a car about image, and a V8 with less performance, but which sounds the part, would work from a marketing standpoint. The engineers just knew better.

These cars are great until someone cuts your headlights out!

Yeah, we spent many years referring to our cars by the color. Only recently duplicated silver, although one was a champagne silver and this one has a smokier tone. Yes, nine cars and nine distinct colors.

I assume you know that the Robin in the Top Gear episode was modified to tip over like that? (It was still hilarious, but not completely true.)

“That’s not flying, it just falling with style!”
