I’m in CO and have seen this car on the road, being driven and sounding as one would expect. And just think, you could be one of these guys and get all the girls.

100%, the owner couldn’t even be bothered to pony up a few more grand for a supercharger kit, which would still be a minor value detractor but wouldn’t reflect so poorly on the owner/car as a whole.

I know — nitrous is so out of character with the purpose of this car, and the fact that it’s in there speaks volumes of the car’s previous owner(s) and screams that this thing’s been abused. (in case the stickers didn’t already tip you off).

You can get a better one for the same or less money. This one sold last year with fewer miles, no wash title issues, and no mods for the same money. Plus it’s the more desirable 3.2L/6-speed car.

Age + Miles + Sketchy Title + Price =  NFD

Agree that kit cars are a gamble, but this . . . this . . . the tackiness plus a small block in an old Fiero and the scissor doors make this thing irresistible. Take it to EVERY car show in your area and piss off old farts. Take it to cars and coffee and toast 2.3L Mustangs.

I mis-read this as being a weekend WORRIER.

GM cars area always at their best right before they kill ‘em off.

Those sure are pretty, and rare to see (especially in good shape).
I’d say NP.
I don’t generally like FWD GM cars, because most of them feel like driving a couch around, but these would be significantly lighter than the larger boats in the Buick line.

Same, though more due to the fact that my mom had the Allante’, so I thought of the Reatta as the shabby stepsister back then. I do appreciate that the first two years of these were actual hardtop cars (unlike the Allante’ with the removable hardtop), so they were more solid if that’s what one wanted, but if you

Looks good and seems priced right.

Tricky! At $5000, I’d be all over it. At $7500...a bit pricey for an oddity that is appreciated just as such an artifact - odd. But it’s also too neat to pass up. Mmmmm....

The Chrysler 300, as much as I personally like them, came later and were a poor imitation. In most every sense of the word. It seems like your disgust is misplaced.

This forced me to wiki “Giant’s Causeway” and holy shit, that’s amazing. How have I never heard/seen of this before?

Shockingly this is in the right ballpark of what these go for in this good of shape (low miles and well maintained). It is interesting how a “cheap” Phantom is like 70-80k now, but the Bentley Continental has depreciated down to basically nothing. It seems these really do have a lot of lasting appeal.

Glad you’re back, Rob!

This car has been driven an average of just 400 miles per year. Much like the barely driven 23 year old Viper featured last week, anyone seriously considering this car should be worried about the age-based condition of the fluids and rubber parts. Hopefully the meticulous maintenance records include some of that stuff.

I knew a guy who dailied one of these for a few years, said it was very reliable and that his biggest expense was fuel. Although his reliability threshold is relatively skewed considering he owned a FD RX7.

Seriously, what the fuck are y’all trying to do to me? Between this and the $20K Bentley in Vegas earlier this week (not a NP/ND car), I mean you’re telling me I can have a total of 22 combined all luxury cylinders for $35K all-in? $1,600 a cylinder? 1002 combined horsepower? For $35K? I mean, shit, I can use one to

This one has been languishing almost a month in a wealth enclave within pleasure-driving distance of a huge market. Hard to tell whether it’s the asking price for a car with mostly silly “upgrades” and some neglect, or an ad that makes the seller come off as kind of a pill to deal with. Why choose?
