I made the point that fancy kitchen slicers aren’t any better than a good knife if you are spending your time cleaning them all of the time. This includes deli slicers.

The insurance companies have a formula, and security system is one of their default discount checkboxes. What can I say? Maybe this was a theft target in the 1990's.
Who buys a beige Ferrari? And why?
Executives need to justify their pay by making arbitrary decisions!
Cleaning is one of the reasons why I reject most kitchen gadgets for a good sharp knife. My 13 year old made kalamata olive butter two days ago, and the food processor is still not washed. (At least it won’t spoil, since butter is stable at RT.)
A security system? But....why?
My parents mostly use their cars for less than 5 miles per day. They still like to buy new ones every 4 years because they can. (Their 401K is still healthy, I guess. Early entry into the stock market is like early entry into the housing market. Highly profitable.)
Okay, I guess I just don’t go rural when it snows.
AND there needs to be better evaluation of drug interactions. My father was completely disoriented for 3 weeks while he had a bad combination of prescriptions. I’m convinced that at least half of the disoriented older drivers (if not 75% or more) are messed-up from doctors just prescribing shit without any regard for…
God damn! Where are you all located that you need that much ground clearance? Put snow tires on an Audi AllRoad and be done with it!
I like the spec and the idea but not the execution.
Yeah, my family just test-drove the Accord, Camry, and Crown hybrids, and I was most impressed with the Accord! My family wanted the seat comfort and road noise to be better, but the engine response on the Accord reminded me of my former SHO’s. The power was there whenever I wanted it.
I find them visually interesting, but I also never aspired to own one, and never even thought about driving one.
I always loved the idea of 60's 2-seat convertibles, but I’m not a convertible kind of guy. My answer: Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3s! Built solid, the V4 cranks out 93hp like a champ, and compact exterior dimensions! If only the body panels and frame were not preinstalled with Italian rust.
I hate to say that it was only 15 years ago that you could get a mint e28 M5 for $10k. Unfortunately, I missed that window of opportunity and didn’t start pricing them until a few years later.
Or how about those LED billboards which change so fast that I can’t even see that ad I was interested-in??? Those are definitely safe! They also don’t screw with my night vision at all! /s
Two years ago, you could drive it with a bag over your head to a Detroit Lions football game and leave the bag on all day!. Now you can take that bag to a Pistons game.
I believe the auctions require professional photos provided by the seller, so it’s not quite THAT easy.
Yeah, you’re going to want to show off your car to a couple of lady friends or drive to a lunch outing with coworkers at some point. The extra seats will be nice.
I also get tired of the same old tropes.
