Oh dark Italian mistress, take my money and reveal to me your mysteries!

The person took things literally and added light-ness by removing the roof. Now they get ALL the light!

Do you think those chromed wheel arches are original? It’s in good shape, but not being stock could be a ding against it.

Yeah, the car market is crazy! I wonder how many of those are selling at those prices.

FYI: Don’t expect the fun Crown badge on the hood. That’s not for the USA. They are worried that we’d be too confused by it to realize Toyota makes a luxury vehicle that is not a Lexus.

Of course I also changed all of the outlets, switches, and associated trim plates from beige to white.

On the other hand, they should be able to track that person X entered the car at a particular day and time. We know that the cameras capture would-be thieves, so why not actual access? Or did they finally give up on this due to a court order at some point?

Agree. The legal system is broken when it comes to adding spouses to accounts. Whenever we need to change anything on my utility accounts at home, my spouse says I need to do it as the original person to set up the account. Anything to do with my home or utilities (gas, electric, and phone) usually needs me to make

Yeah, I don’t even allow my electric outlets in my home to have screws misaligned like that.

I admit that it’s not a bad car as kit cars go. I’ve seen worse things done to a Mustang. The specs are pretty good. I don’t understand the “Handling by Lotus” schtick. The owner is implying that the car isn’t good enough on its original engineering, and needs to imply that an Isuzu has better engineering?

I was into the Porsche 356 convertible kit car as a possibility in college until I realized it was a VW Beatle with no roof and no safety features. (At least VW had proper belts!)

I’m trying to decide how this is titled. Is it a kit car, or a prototype? I thought prototypes were not legal road cars.

Where the badge on the back that says, “Steering by Taurus!”?

I’m confused. Isn’t it illegal to drive prototypes on public roads in the USA?

I can’t read Jalopnik on my phone anymore. It keeps being obstructed by pop-up videos and reloads which bring me back to the top. I used-to try reading it on the bus on the way to work, but my data for the auto-launch videos was screwing my data bills!

I do admit that the price isn’t far from what stock ones are selling for, and it appears to be in good condition. If this brings you joy, what the heck! (Get a PPI of course.)

No, that wing mount comes all the way out to the bumper, which looks wrong to me, and I’m a whale tail fan going way back. There’s enough space in there to smuggle contraband!

Although the common online postings indicate this is a good price, I did check auction results based on comments like yours. Based on Classic.com, the auction results indicate.....Correct Price. I think a lot of us are behind the current markets.

Looking online, it seems to be going that way.

Has anyone looked at what these are currently be listed at? By that metric, this thing is a freakin’ steal!
