I wonder when some of these vehicles on the list will start having younger owners. I can kind-of see the Prowler being one that a younger generation might find quirky and fun, but not too “old”.

I’m SO GLAD my parents never went that route! I guess owning a boat when I was in middle school cured them of any recreational vehicle cravings.
I just bought a Toyota Crown, because my wife loves hybrid vehicles, and wanted more tech and luxury than the Camry Hybrid is offering. I priced the Lexus ES300h, and wondered if we should test drive one, as it’s priced similar. Just from online reviews, I decided the Crown is like driving a hearse, and the Lexus is…
Strangely, I never see these things. All kinds of Polaris and similar, but not these.
If a missile is shot down in space, and no one hears it, did it really happen?
How does this compare to a Prelude from the same era? A quick search shows Preludes going for this much or more. I’m sure the heavier (although aluminum) V6 and a cushier suspension reduces the fun factor on this, but HP is up on the Prelude.
I’d like to point out to the ad poster that a cheetah on rollerskates is not going ANYWHERE! Perhaps the metaphore is apt when you buy this thing and find out some features are not transferrable.
And took away how much food by shutting down farms?
I believe this was before LED headlights were approved, so you’ll always have that standard, supercar slant-eye look. I kind of like the clean lines, but I’ve usually been behind in appreciating supercar designs.
Good luck selling it to someone who will appreciate it! I’m glad it was featured here, as I love knowing this car exists in such good condition!
I like the look of this car, analog gauges, 80's aggressive 3-box coupe with a slope, and just enough aero to look serious. And I have never been a fan of 80's GM. It looks like a fun cruiser, with just enough nostalgia.
Pretty typical for the late 50's. Look at the Cadillacs and Thunderbirds from 58-59.
Yep. It was a godawful ear worm.
In hindsight, I may have been a bit harsh. If y’all want to have fun with your vehicles, go ahead! (Just keep your catalytic converters and mufflers on.)
Does it need power doors? The side doors are super light. I can definitely understand the wish for a power tailgate.
I WISH they had offered it with the Skyactive 2.5 engine with the newer transmission. My 2013 Mazda5 definitely has old technology when compared to the 2013 Malibu I also drove. It is down 44 hp to the Malibu and still gets slightly worse gas mileage. What could have been!
There are plenty of other mods as well, so many so that the seller claims they can’t even list them all.
As Skipp points-out, it’s not as simple as we initially think this should be. First: Moving it out of the shed is quite a task, and can damage things if not done properly. Second, unknown seal condition can introduce water. Third, that much dirt doesn’t just wash clean. Fourth, if it was an exotic car, improperly remov…
I wonder if some people don’t trust themselves to park between the lines without another car to use for reference. Still a jerk move, though, since anyone can figure out your intent.
I remember when Porsche was panned in reviews for having all kinds of specialized buttons on the center console. Now, with the latest haptic button backlash, people are praising cars for ‘bringing back tactile buttons’.
