“We ban cars.”
I did read the post. The author wants to start bans in the cities and have those magically “ripple” out into rural areas with “zero-emission fleets.” But nowhere does the author say rural areas will be omitted from the all car ban, just that they’ll get to the party late.
Typical Gizmodo article.
What about people that don’t live in cities? Are we going to invest in effective public transportation for towns of 500 or 1,000 people? What about actual rural areas? Or are we going to force everyone to move to cities and abandon rural areas (ya know, the places where all the food comes from?). This is seriously a…
I think saying that he particularly is our best hope is perhaps too fan-ish even for me, but I think that there’s a reassuring trend of very rich people (Gates, Gore, Musk) just throwing money at this problem. Aggressive research into alternative energy technology is something that absolutely needs to happen, climate…
To you and all the other graceless whiners that can’t get your head around it, let me explain this slowly: this is a FESTIVAL. They are SHOWCASING these shorts so YOU can VOTE for the one you find the BEST. In this sense there isn’t a repost because it’s not a post. It’s like saying: “Look at these works and tell us…
The quality is just breathtaking. Love the Lebbeus Woods influence in the altered buildings. Only VFX quibble is the design of the hover-ships. They look too much like current day military helicopters with hover fans replacing the rotor, and their movement doesn’t quite match their scale, but that’s a small detail in…
The trailer for The Force Awakens seems to have reignited some enthusiasm for the franchise, prompting Medley Weaver…
I thought the first Star Trek was brilliant, while the second one was not bad either. What issues did you have with them?
As someone who has done some ephedra and lots of meth in his youth, they are not even close to the same thing. This is pretty much saying that humans and apes are basically the same thing because the genetic makeup is so damn close. Horseshoes doesn’t work for genetics, troll. Sorry.
Ephedra is not basically meth, if that is what you mean.
So he’s pretty much all but confirmed he’s playing Black Bolt, the king of Inhumans. While he can technically talk, it’s just even him whispering will produce powerful sonic shockwaves.
The hexagon shapes in the Lex/OS video make me think of Brainiac.
I’m fortunate enough to live half an hour away from the caves, so I was there a few weeks back. Got to see it in person, and there’s something ineffable about the experience.
Tron 3 gets cancelled and uncancelled more often than Community. Don’t play with my heart like this.
My assumption (which may well be totally wrong) was that they were a bio-weapon built by the engineers to wipe out what they considered to be failed experiments.
I don’t get this. Why would you ask for your money back from the theater? They didn’t make the movie and they certainly didn’t make you pay to watch it. If anything, ask for your money back from the studio. The theater did their job of providing you access to the movie. If their delivery was flawed (bad sound, picture…
I thought the notion that the xenomorphs were bio-weapons was pretty well established at this point.
Fuck. No.
