Look at the molten salt reactor.
Look at the molten salt reactor.
Then technically the sun isn't either.
Well, it's been my name since before I had an operable long term memory storage system. (Or at least since the one I was using from 0-2 years of age was overwritten, if current research on the subject is accurate.) So consistency is easy. :)
Who said I wanted coal?
My career isn't on the energy business. I'm a computer programmer by trade. But my favorite form of renewable energy is nuclear fission. :)
It's a small internet, ain't it? :)
Yes, molten salt is an awesome heat transfer mechanism. That's why it works so well in molten salt nuclear reactors.
Sunlight is about the least energy dense fuel source available.
You need to give replies that contain information.
Just saying that doesn't make it true. And remember, less != zero.
Yes I have. They're very expensive and inefficient.
With solar panels you have to swap out everything, not just a few parts. And the issue is with the amount of infrastructure necessary to capture the "free" energy.
I never mentioned burning anything. But since you mentioned it, using solar means you always need backup power, which is typically natural gas or coal. So using solar means always needing to "burn shit." That is unless you use nuclear.
Why people think covering large expanses of land with infrastructure produced using toxic processes is "green" kind of baffles me, especially when that infrastructure doesn't produce much electricity during the day and zero during the night. It also needs to be replaced every 20 years or so, and over that time slowly…
Oy!
Maybe a ketogenic diet would help with the insulin levels.
Witnessing so many contrabass trombones it's hard to acknowledge anything but awe.
Ind33d! When I have more money than sense this will be mine: http://www.rathtrombones.com/instruments/co…
Holy shit, I've never seen that many contrabass trombones in one place. :)
I've been eating a ketogenic diet (low carb, high fat) for about a year and a half. My overall hunger level has reduced so much I almost always skip breakfast and often don't eat my first meal until after a long walk at 1-2pm. I'm down over 60lb.
