How do kids learn to mimic behavior? How they know they're supposed to mimic behavior? Why are they motivated to mimic behavior?
How do they know how to role model?
We are absolutely not a blank slate. Do you have kids? If so did you teach them how to think? How to learn? How to be angry? How to cry?
I'm not sure what race has to do with anything. It's mainly a construct of culture.
