You and I have very similar preferences, except for the long hair on guys thing; I think some guys pull it off with aplomb.

I've been dealing with that a lot recently and it's an old friend. I'm at the point where I feel I need to have a sit-down with them before just giving up on the friendship altogether.

I think it's a week from today. I'll definitely be watching that replay, work be damned!

That Man U game was painful. I'm so glad it wasn't an early match because I would have regretted waking up early for it. Did you catch the Spurs/Leceister game? Probably the highlight match of the weekend for me. I feel Leceister were robbed with that late penalty, even though Spurs did play better for most of the

Sign me up!

Maybe he just likes the way he looks sans glasses better. I that know I do and I've worn glasses most of my life.

It's probably not him but the effect of the media seemingly overexposing him or what he's doing.

I'd totally be down for a NYC meet-up!

I don't necessarily view that act as "more evil" but I believe the sum of his actions makes it pretty clear this guy is not a hero, protagonist, sympathetic character, or whatever you want to call it. He is clearly all about the ends justifying the means with no regard for the consequences. Just because BDT character

So because they're likely to wind up as criminals executing them in cold blood as children is alright?

Agreed. I don't get why every movie that is based on realistic events needs to have a stance on the issue at hand. The movie was entertaining, gripping, well-written and kept me guessing.

That doesn't really seem to be what the poster you're replying to was doing. And you did make a blanket statement about Malcolm not being able to sit on a high horse because he was a drug addict which is kind of bullshit. Someone can be a drug addict and still be right about a moral issue.

Being better educated in all subjects though? If Jeopardy ever had a category about metal and it's sub-genres, I'd be all over that but I don't know shit about contemporary composers or conductors. And I doubt most people know anything about metal but that doesn't make them less educated than the average person.

Same. My boyfriend didn't understand why I got so upset with this episode that I literally had to walk out of the room. Stupid things happen repeatedly because PLOT! makes me so goddamn furious, especially since this show was capable of doing better.

Right? I really need to go check it out already, especially since I only live 10 minutes away.

I second the Museum of the Moving Image! That place is awesome. If you're into beer and weird metal music, there's a German metal beer-house that just opened up in Ridgewood that supposed to be pretty interesting, though admittedly I have yet to go there myself. It's called Bierleichen.

I'm sure Eddie Redmayne's face has been and should be called a lot of things but bland certainly isn't one of them.

I get what you're saying but I'm not talking about black characters being prevalent but show leads and making up most of the cast. Or at the very least a show with multiple ethic groups other than white Americans. Master of None would be a pretty good example. But it would nice to see something like that on network TV

You're right about that. I've only seen a few episodes of Being Mary Jane so I can't really judge it but it did seem to be capable of being a "prestige drama" but hardly anyone knows about it.
