Such a great band! I had the pleasure of being introduced to Menomena by seeing them play live at Bowery. There was only one opener, which was pretty good, and then Menomena played a nearly 2 hour set; the first slower-paced song coming about half way through. The energy was simply amazing and I became an instant fan.

Trust me, it's very typical. At least among the people I know from the Northeast who are bilingual. Sometimes, it's not even a conscious thing, people just respond in the language that's easiest for them to express their thoughts.
