num pad notation isn’t new, it’s been the standard for arcsys/anime games forever.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that the second thing DIDN’T keep him banned.  I’m fairly certain whatever he did that got him permanently banned wasn’t anywhere near as bad, but was just the final straw for Twitch.

Very much incorrect. In most of the world the internet is still soft-capped, throttled, expenny, or just plain slow,etc. So being able to pop the disc in and get a majority of the content that needs downloading is very valuable to a lot of gamers.

This also harkens back to the day when Nintendo figured fans didn’t want more of the same for a sequel, so they completely changed the formula. (Zelda II’s side scrolling and RPG elements, Castlevania II’s proto-Metroidvania approach, etc.)

I wonder what’s different about these ten that broke compatibility. I think Hitman Go might be the only one I own, and I say that not being sure whether I actually own it, but I’m sure someone will be upset that they wont be able to play one of these on the new hardware.

I’d never have considered him, but that would be amazing. Especially if he’s played as a joke / trickster character who seems barely in control of his inventions and the ghosts he’s trying to control (maybe his stronger attacks have a slight chance of backfiring and trapping himself in a portrait).

I’m not surprised, and I completely understand why they included him (and it works, tbh), but I can’t even begin to describe how quickly my excitement deflated when I saw Steve break through the wall. Can’t win ‘em all. I’m sure a lot of people love this, though, so I’m glad for them.
