Absolutely. Unfortunately it is extremely expensive and labor intensive when compared to increasingly inexpensive CG, so it has become much more niche. A lot of soul is traded off in my opinion. Same goes for hand drawn animation.

Hard disagree. And of course the ability to play next gen games is not in dispute.
