The only thing I could see on that junkrat skin was the stretched out dollar sign on his knee. He was clearly textured in a-pose without even testing the texture in his idle. Kind of sloppy for being Blizzard. Then again, probably one of those things only other 3D artists would notice.
It's gonna be really difficult but I'm gonna try and pass on TLOU2. Can't keep supporting this type of business practices, no matter how great the end result is. At the same time it feels like such a double-edged thing since the devs deserve those bonuses. Fuck.
Is the game any good, though? Got a review coming up?
I hear ya and hope so too. It’s pretty great for FPS games (which is what it was built för) but for anything else, it seems horrible to work with from what I hear.
Most probably, they'll be forced to use Frostbite for it too, just like EA forced Ghost Games.
You obviously don’t work in game dev.
Why do you keep doing this to us, Jason?!
Jokes aside, a month for polishing FFVII sounds like very short time. Should we be hopeful or worried by this delay?
It’ll most probably be scaled. My guess is that would be somewhere around lvl 33. I’m totally assuming here that the first 10 levels will be tutorial-like, so 1-120 should be relative to lvls 10-50, so (67/120), times 40 (the lvl span between the tutorial and the max lvl before shadowlands) gives ya around 23. So add…
Hear hear. Every damn time I see him post a comment it’s that type of shit.
Here’s a proposition, why not take your toxic cynicism and shove it up your ass?
Hi there. Gamedev SJW here. I play games, make games and earn money by doing it, which I in turn buy games for. Fuck off with your ignorant shit. Please.
Hey Americans, could you please stop your idiot orange from breaking the Internet? If not for yourselves, then at least for the rest of us? Pretty please?
Then don’t. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. Least of all to bitch and moan and harass devs or anyone, really.
“Aw, dang it Nintendo is forcing me to buy their consoles to play Mario or Zelda or whatever. I better send anthrax to Miyamoto or threaten to rape his entire family.” <— said no one ever, for some…
Same here!
“It’s easy to forget that Skyrim, with its massive popularity and numerous ports, wasn’t the first Elder Scrolls game.”
What? Who actually thinks it’s easy to forget it wasn’t the first? It’s literally called “The Elder Scrolls V (5 fiiiivvvveeee): Skyrim”.
Would’ve been way more logical to begin this article saying…
Same here! This is a big happy accident in my book.
RIP Chris Cornell.
I got it this weekend on a whim while hanging out with an old friend I hadn't seen in little over a year. We had a blast with it and it's gorgeous graphics and accessible yet deep gameplay. When I tested the story mode I realised the camera shakes uncontrollably. No doubt, it's an effect to make it seem more real, but…
As someone who's been reading kotaku since early Crescente (pretty sure I misspelled that) days, I can attest to your editor-in-chiefness being a major boon to the site. Keep being awesome, dude!
