They could retroactively make it work. Half of the next season of Mandalorian comes from plot points in an animated show that retroactively made a lot of the prequels work.

To be fair, the moment Zeus was in this movie you had to know it was laying the groundwork to bring in Hercules. Zeus is such a tertiary character in the comics, he literally exists as a plot device for Hercules.

I’m happy for him. I felt bad he was singled out in particular when Lucas' writing and directing let down everyone, only McGregor through a sheer Herculean effort was able to rise above it. But he's brilliant in "Shattered Glass" and I can't wait to see what he does with a script and direction touched by human hands.
