Portland is lovely, and it has a lot of really interesting things to do and probably the most job opportunities in the state, and lots of good places to eat. There are beautiful places everywhere in Oregon - hiking, biking, skiing, pretty much everything outdoorsy you could want is probably only an hour or two away…

Not overcrowded, no, but it's hard to find a good paying job because everyone wants to live here.
