Wild strawberries definitely do spread fast and are super tiny! Around here they grow wild everywhere. We used to have a ton in the back yard. But I haven't had any luck finding them sold in stores - even the plants I've found have slightly bigger strawberries.

that's a really good idea. I am growing my own this year (just got the garden in yesterday!!!) but I might buy extras. Do I need to also buy a pressure cooker?

I've never been on a cruise, but they've always kind of bothered me. Well, any vacation taken to really poor third-world countries where tourists just sit on the beach and never actually bother to find out anything about the country they are staying in kind of bother me. It feels...exploitative. My high school

I'm gonna try it this year. I've never canned before, but I keep wishing I knew how.

Yeah, ponytail hair could be a problem if you have straight hair, for sure. I have really curly hair, with pretty big, loose curls, so you can't tell on my hair.

Right there with you. Organic vegetables are not affordable if you eat a lot of them! And giving up bread = hell no. I wonder if there is any way we can get access to pre-genetically engineered wheat seeds?

I know! They are so unnatural looking! Strawberries are supposed to be berries, not apricot-sized monstrosities.

yes. This is basically what I was going to say too. Learning how ingredients work is completely necessary to good cooking. The front section of the Betty Crocker cookbook has some useful info about how different ingredients interact, but really, I learned this stuff from dating a chef.

This is definitely a problem. I was thinking the same thing. I was going to suggest that you just cook your own, but when tomatoes are out of season they are ungodly expensive. I guess the only surefire solution would be to grow and can your own, but that is a serious time commitment.

Don't wash your hair. Pin it all out of your face and just wash your body - then it does take like 2 minutes. (in the interest of full disclosure, though, I have the thickest, most un-greasy hair ever and I only wash it about every 4 days anyway, and I wear hardly any makeup.)

yeah, I'm with you on this. It takes a longer time when you are first learning (I didn't learn how to cook until about a year and a half ago, really, because my mom cannot cook for shit), but once you get the hang of it it takes about half an hour to 45 minutes to make a healthy meal, which is just as long as it would

After my first period, I asked my mom, completely seriously, if it was possible for me to have a complete hysterectomy.

My high school sweetheart used to drink easily two liters of diet coke/pepsi a day. He had this container which, I kid you not, probably held almost a gallon of soda. It always astounded me. I can barely drink 6 ounces of soda before my stomach is upset.

Human rights (which feminism is) isn't "interesting" or "daring." It is an ethical issue. Imagine if someone made a video about child soldiers in Africa and half the internet responded by attacking the premise, calling the person making the video disgusting names, and threatening them. Misogyny is not some abstract

Hey, Ellen Page actually went to my university!

THAT...is actually a good point. Social media has been my friend in proving someone did something illegal more than once.

give me whipping cream in my coffee any day.

yeah, that's what I got too. A company that sexualizes 14-year-old girls (or adult women) is unethical, because it is perpetuating the reduction of women to objects.

Does Victoria's Secret really sell shorts with "I get around" written on them? Really?! Ugh. Why am I even surprised.

let's add IQ tests and college entrance exams to this list while we're at it.
