The real problem here is that the lights are mounted too high. I will often drive past pickups whose lights are mounted literally above my roof. So solution: no vehicles may have lights mounted more than 2ft above ground level. If that makes your lifted truck look dumb, that’s your problem.
It worries me that I have to explain this, but ‘big’ is not the same as ‘good’.
