No you’re correct there too - Mass Effect’s design language wasn’t inspired by JJ Abrams Star Trek - the first game actually predates his first film release in the franchise I think?

I’m just saying that if you made a Mass Effect film that was faithful to the game’s cinematography and art direction you would end up

I think as a result either of a patch or player count there was some sort of server instability the last day or so. I got a full stack of my old school Halo gang together for some Big Team and we were all getting crashes, networking, and UI issues that weren’t present as frequently in previous days.

Mass Effect already exists in film, visually. Look at the JJ Abrams Star Trek films. Replace the Enterprise with the Normandy. They speak the same visual language right down to the blue lens flares. I don’t love JJ Abrams but I think he would have been able to pull off a passably entertaining Mass Effect film, even if

They’ve also largely managed to avoid the bad press that is plaguing other recent major releases, which has to be helping their numbers in the days immediately following launch.

Halo and Forza both have had relatively smooth launches so far. Forza had some minor server issues that were largely resolved within 24 hours

Having followed this story for a few years now, I was terribly surprised to boot up my music app recently and see “Music of the Spheres” flashing brightly on the front page only to realize it was a Coldplay album.

For a top end hilt with the highest grade internal electronics, you might run $800, but what you’re getting for that dramatically eclipses the product you can buy directly from Disney.

You can purchase a dueling saber with electronics and functionality comparable to the Galaxy’s Edge sabers for under $200.

I don’t think I’d mind the lack of unlockable options if it didn’t take so damn long to unlock anything. You need 60 vehicle kills with a jet to unlock air to ATGMs. That means unless you’re getting -really- lucky and killing immobile recon trucks with your autocannon, you need to shoot down 60 helicopters/planes.

But

The Sith Inquisitor storyline still stands out in my memory all these years later and some of my friends and I still quote memorable SWTOR lines. It was and is far from a perfect game, but the storytelling and voice acting, especially at the time, was really something special.

I’d love to see more group content in the

It probably doesn’t look as good in person but it’s just a side effect of where blade lighting seems to be right now. Most newer 3rd party sabers look really good on camera - the dueling saber I purchased last year for a costume looks like the real deal in photos or on videos due to the way cameras capture bright

Disclaimer: The display sabers that Disney sells are not rated for dueling and in addition to the risk of injury, you’re gonna screw up your expensive lightsaber. If you are interested in dueling sabers, there are a bunch of online outlets like Saberforge that sell fencing-rated sabers for about the same price as what

From a gameplay standpoint, my only gripe is the lack of clearly defined roles making everyone play like idiots.

I think mostly a lot of folks are unhappy with the amount of content. There aren’t very many maps and previous Battlefield titles launched with as many assault rifles as there are weapons across every class

I put out the bat signal to my old Halo gang, some of whom I haven’t played with since the Halo-2-but-on-the-360 era, and last night after a close match someone said “God damn it feels like I’m back in college and I love it”.

They really nailed the classic Halo feel after the criticisms of 4 and 5 straying too far from

Right now the amount of time it takes to complete seems questionable. It appears that there is a cap on XP earned per week by way of limiting the number of weekly challenges, and a good number of those challenges are borderline impossible to complete in a reasonable amount of time.

These are really garbage changes that don’t address the core complaint.

It takes something like 1000 XP to level up one battle pass level - I don’t know if it gets harder later on but at level 30-ish that’s what it seems to take.

What feels really shitty is to load up a Halo game, have approximately 2 customization

Different folks have different kinds of fun. Forza shines when it lets folks play their own way.

I haven’t tried used this method but I’ve nabbed some cheap super wheelspins by hopping in a drift boost car when skill songs come on so I can rack up car mastery points and buy some willies. Other times I’ll go and grind

I spent some time trying to figure it out but no luck. I think right now the only options are the three playlists, with no way to filter game modes or maps.

I hope this is a temporary condition for the ‘beta’ and the full release in a few weeks sees the return of a normal Halo playlist browser a la MCC.

Frankly the most confusing part of the BLD KIT is the fact that it comes with a 183-page instruction manual. You can cover the basic steps of assembling a PC in one page - even padding with detail 183 pages seems like a lot of extra.

Literally nobody is making that claim here

Was very frustrated last night to realize I’d wasted most of my XP boosts when I noticed I was topping the charts in multiple consecutive games and earning almost 0 XP because I wasn’t completing the specific challenges.

The plasma pulse rifle actually two-taps people if you can hit them with every projectile from both trigger pulls, but the projectile speed and tracking are so bad that if your opponent is moving even slightly that will not happen, and if they aren’t moving, they have about five minutes to watch the projectile lazily
