I watched live and remember, about 1-2 laps before that wild exchange, seeing a South Korean skater (in between relay legs) out on the racing surface on the opposite straightaway and some of the racers struggling to dodge her. I can’t find full video to verify, but I can’t believe there’s been no mention of that.

Is it just me or are horse people and boat people the same people? I’m guessing there’s a 95% overlap in the population that can legitimately claim to be one or the other.

Nothing screams “I respect the flag” like turning it into a top hat made of bedazzled fabric and wearing it on your head. Ugh. These people.

I had lunch with my female boss last month and now she’s pregnant. There’s nothing we could’ve done to prevent it. That’s just what happens at restaurants.

That “revolution of industrial technology” brought with it expanded employment of lots of actual human beings that got paid for their work.

Yeah, I was just reacting to the thought that Reagan ‘started’ inequality. Sure, he helped create ideal conditions for accelerated inequality, but it was coming sooner or later without him.

Not arguing that Reagan’s policies helped get us where we are, but 1980-ish is also when the cost of computer hardware fell, adoption skyrocketed, factories and offices went digital, and PC software & factory automation began replacing middle-skill office and manufacturing jobs. We might’ve arrived in a similar

Of course. In the interest of keeping my post short I left out that I would have UNI players attempt to catch the inbounds passes thrown to the other end of the court.

UNI would’ve been better off just repeatedly throwing the ball to the other end of the court. It would’ve at least made A&M bring the ball back up and let UNI get set on defense.
