Ah, this XJ brings back the memories of my 1st car / Jeep; a 1985 Cherokee Laredo 2dr 4x4 2.5L 5 speed. It was terribly slow, borderline unsafe getting to freeway speeds and could barely maintain 75mph, but I loved it (and made love in it ;)). If this one had a 4.0, 4wd and good trans it might be worth 5000. The early

This sums up most of my interactions with sales people. They're useless morons in the antiquated dealership model.

Have you actually driven a Tesla for an extended period of time?

Great perspective on this review of the EQS, from someone who’s never driven any of its competitors or has never even been in a luxury sedan in general to be able to compare it to. Much talk about the styling, with one front 3/4 shot being the only photo? Jalopnick continues the downward spiral to irrelevance.

Intresting, this 924 was listed on Grand Rapids Craigslist in June, not sure if this is the same seller or someone who bought it recently and is flipping it. Origional seller claimed it was a father son project they lost intrest in.

Put a damn hoodscoop on it for a slight differentiation from the NA models, representation of subaru’s design legacy and to save mateiral wasted on all that plastic ducting. Just another Snoozebaru, sadly. Seats do look nice though.

It appears to be impossible for GM to design a cadillac with out excessive wheel gap. The height of the ATS was atrocious and the CT4 is barely better. Really kills the otherwise nice looking design.

The most obvious design influence for that front end smile styling are from the Cars from the Cars movies.

I’ve bought and sold near 100 cars privatly, the ease of selling decreases exponentially as price increases. Anything over 20k with a lean on it that is most likly going to require the buyer to aquire a loan to buy is going to be pretty challenging to sell, regardless of model and trans, but a manual even in a

Worth $9-10k max on a good day. I regret not buying an ‘88 ST165 from a Toyota Tech in Ann Arbor when I had a chance around 1998. I think he wanted around 9k for that in truly stock and good mechanical condition. Was holding out for a ST195 that never materialized.

Glad they brought a proper turbo option back to the Legacy but the exterior styling would be hard pressed to look any more dated and boring at launch. Puts the hopes for the next gen WRX back in check with Subaru reality.

I love vintage Jeeps as much as the next Jeeper, having a 85 XJ as my first vehicle and my most regretted sale as a ‘78 Cherokee Chief WT. But the idea of a postal jeep as a DD is such a bad one, unless maybe you’re planning on driving side streets and maybe picking up a newspaper delivery route in your spare time to

Had a 1st gen, 5 spd base model, in addition to many other subaru Legacy’s & impreza’s (and Jeeps) over the years. It was a great model of simplicity solid basic transportation that can’t be found in a new vehicle. Also the hp is pretty much the same as the new model offers 20 years later. Great visibility, decent seat

Well the new poopra should continue to drive up the values of the 5th Gen’s even more. All they had to do was dust off the old tooling from 2002 update the interior, drop the UR 5.0L V8 in it and call it good. Who the hell wants a BMW with some poor Toyota design theme stuck on top?

So the ranger 4x4 gets 1 mpg better city than a F150 4x4 2.7 ecoboost... Other than being slightly more maneuverable and compact for navigating trails and parking, I don’t see much advantage in ‘midsize’ trucks. I suppose that’s why they weren’t available in the US for a while.

So GM is trying to not sell trucks or cars now? That’s all I can come up with from their recent styling direction & questionable offering of a 4 cly turbo in the Silverado. Maybe this design is customer driven from the real people campaign? Either way this is good news for Ford & Ram, because this makes their HD

It was the first and few cars to use neon lighting. Unique and cool looking for sure, durable, not so much. Always dug the MK8's back in the day.

Agree, it was the last gen that offered the 4.0L and solid front axles as well. More comfortable and better equipped than XJ’s and can usually be found for similar money.

Despite decent looks and hp/$, Hyundai manual transmissions kind of suck, which in contrast, is a high point on BMW’s. The long term reliability is yet to be proven on this one either. I had a ‘13 Genesis R-spec that had the trans replaced (under warrenty fortunatly) at 48k miles and wasn’t tracked, a search will show
