Oh so jelous!
Oh the envy i have of the person that purchased your 5
What happened? RUST?
AMEN brother!
That is why I remember them, knowing that at the time GM was trying to pass them as an suv, quite frankly the Venture was so much more better looking.
oh that is painful!
All that work, and they don’t swap that OM616 for an OM617 turbo? really?
If not for our draconian 25 year rule i would be driving around in a newer jimny. They are awesome
Damm! Dacia even gave the old Renault 12 an update! Talk about squeezing the lofe of an old platform! The ARO 240 with front solid axle would be awesome!
Ive seen gearing, 18 speeds, dual range boxes, clutching in and out to get to 25mph, that is tractor trailers. How do you do it with a rotary, first gear is direct, and the rest are overdrives? Over drive the differential? How do you pull that off in that suzuki?
So just makes noise, burns oil, has to be cracked open for seals every 70k miles, yeah... no, i will take an inline 6 single cam any day, be gas or diesel.
10k rpm and still no torque!
Once in a while i drive a “Freightliner” Sprinter 2500, outside of my irrational hate for automatics, it is a pleasant ride, sure the turbo lag is bad, but is good on fuel. i can understand their popularity. But if im told i have to service it, i will develop a case of the “....itis” and go home, this things did not…
With a clutch pedal!
If no rot, $2500 is well worth it, pull that rotary crap out, put in a gran vitara fuel injected engine. And you have a fun little truck. I met fans of rotarys, i can not understand how such an unreliable gutless engine can have such a draw....
Are they $25000 yet?
Anyone with a gto, g8, caprice ppv, ss will tell you that most parts need to be dealer sourced. Junk yard, good luck, aftermarket almost noneexistance. And the cylinder shutdown on the v8 caprice seems to be a cause of cam chewing
can only imagine what will now happen when you have a failure in the coolant system that you dont notice right away! small coolant leak, head gasket, thermost sticking....
