The only time to go bottled over draft is if you're at a bar where you know they aren't very good about cleaning the tap lines. Some of my go-to dives sadly suffer from this problem (I think some haven't cleaned their lines in years), so I go bottled in that scenario.

Your coworker updates are at this point my favorite part of the TI comments. They are a weekly treasure.

This is cause for celebration!

Good call on Batch 13. I popped in there a few weeks ago right after they opened and it was pretty nice. The dude working said the selection would be growing in the coming months, so I'll be happy to stop back in soon.

In defense of the AV Club, I believe the movie was hailed when it came out, then named one of the best of the 00s. I didn't agree with Mike D'Angelo's piece (the one to which you're referring), but I think just about everyone else around these parts loves Children of Men.

Yep. She stunk in Iron Man 2 and then redeemed herself in the Avengers.

I feel like a bender needs to be consecutive days of continuous drinking. Let's say the minimum is three.

And I think NYC's Dept.of Health finally made them clean all of the wall and ceiling dust a few years ago.

@avclub-2a50e3b61d7da907adce74114394ccc3:disqus Sorry for the confusion in my first post. It really is a solid deal: 7 bucks for a sleeve of saltines, a chopped raw onion, and some American cheese. I shamefully forgot to mention the hot mustard, which is awesome and will definitely clear your sinuses.

That appears to be McSorley's on the album cover, home of the $7 saltines, American cheese, and raw onion plate. I fucking love that place.

@avclub-1786aec3a614d40f1e566fde557a1799:disqus That upset was one of the funnest nights of my life. And Kansas won it all a few years later, so it worked out for everyone in the end!

Fantastic! Have they announced when they'll start running new episodes?

What did everyone here think of the adult swim version of China, IL? I thought it was great — great characters, writing that was even funnier than the web clips, and a lot of blink and you'll miss them sight gags — but I don't remember it getting a lot of coverage around these parts.

Prisoner Christmas has become a seasonal favorite of mine. And Bring the Gold is excellent for this time of year.

Can we just start commenting on completely unrelated things in Girls articles like we do for the Hater? I'd be okay with that.

I like how he made sure to delicately place down his can of soda so he could properly act out the Seagal move.

Nugget Nectar is wonderful. Try it on tap if you have the opportunity.

Genny Cream Ale is still one of my dad's favorites. My friends and I would steal them from his basement beer fridge back in my high school days (mid to late 90s). I can still pick up a 30 rack of those delicious bastards for about 15 bucks when I'm back in PA.

I liked those too. And a not-so-fun fact: that campaign went by the name "Real American Heroes" but was changed shortly after 9/11.

Thanks for the heads-up.
