I’m gonna disagree here. Porsche gives customers freedom to create whatever spec they want, and the a-la-carte option pricing means you don’t get stuck with a $5,000.00 “technology package” when all you wanted was a damn sunroof. You can get a Cayenne for $67,500 - about the same as a decent X5... or you can go nuts.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the configurator, now only to realize the Bronco doesn’t work for me unless I throw a ton of money at it. I spec’d a 4 door Outer Banks model as close as possible to a nearly-base Defender 110, and they’re nearly the same price. I was disappointed that wireless charging and USB ports require

128GB is the sweet spot for me, too. It’s $150 to go from regular 12 to Pro 12 - I think it’ll be worth it.

I’m going to be jealous everytime I see a Mini, but I’m a sucker so I’m getting the 12 Pro for the cameras. I think the novelty of a miniature phone will wear off before the next upgrade.

You mean appreciation? There isn’t a used 2019 for sale that is under its original sticker price. Mercedes has kept production frustratingly low - there are still huge dealer markups, especially for the AMG. The older ones depreciate at a glacial pace - I was looking for a ~2004 about 5 years ago, they’re the same

They even threw in a Wrangler for good measure.

This is... pretty cool. “Tread lightly” and all that. My commute is about 6 miles; I’ve been looking hard at Cayenne S e-Hybrids - the 2016's are down to around $35k - because they can do 12 miles in all-electric. This would be a more fun alternative.

Plus it has those cool back lights

It still makes me mad that the performance index in the back of every R&T listed it as the Ameritech F1.

I enjoyed the part in this interview when he tasked a young engineer to design the pedals, then changed his mind and did it himself. Love that obsession, hopefully the young guy got to do something else cool.

Gives you more time to admire and appreciate the yellow piping on the seats. NP.

Available mid-2021” Oh my god, fuck you, Ford. I’ll order a defender.

Found the racist

I clicked on a few profiles of the shittiest replies. Lots of high schoolers and boomers: the racist bookends of society.

Dunno what happened about 2 years ago, the videos haven’t really been that great after that.

Yes. Why the hell does every picture have a front plate? I have never seen that before in a press-release shoot.

Amalgam models

As a bellwether, 2017 Bentaygas are inching very close to $100k. I’d drive the hell out of the Bentley or Rolls at $50k. Just gotta find some BFG All Terrains for a 22" wheel...

That’s what the dealer always gives as a loaner and I think they’re a hoot. With the turbo & quick steering it feels like a go-cart, in the best way.
