My parents discovered I was gay at the end of my senior year of high school, right before graduation. My father beat me nearly unconscious and I literally ran out of the house with only the clothes I was wearing. I snuck back in twice to get some things, but it barely amounted to a suitcase’s worth of stuff.

I stayed

I hope Pete Davidson starts dating Lena Dunham so this site will explode.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your story is definitely heartbreaking, but the dream you had seems like such a nice gift from your mom. ❤️

Now it’s in my head. *Now it’s IN my Head*

This is the kind of headline that could have used a definite article at the opening. “Doctor Who Tried to Warn...” has a distinctly different meaning for some people than if they were to read “The Doctor Who Tried to Warn....”

This was really beautiful. I went back and forth during the fist part on whether or not we’d get a glimpse of what happened when they stepped through the door, and I think I came down on hoping we didn’t. The show has dropped a lot of easter eggs for The Leftovers (which didn’t really give us a concrete explanation of

My image focused, “Karen” of a sister stole one of my teenage son’s Christmas presents at my parents’ Christmas Eve gathering. He was in that awkward, angsty stage and this really bothered him. She thought it was super funny and refused to return it, even when I quietly took her aside and asked nicely. Nothing says

A detail I absolutely loved is that it's established with the game night scene that Eleanor can read text from the reflections on Chidi's glasses. This comes back at the very last moments of the episode when Chidi reads the note he'd left with Janet. He looks up at Eleanor and she gives him a knowing smile. She knows

I think you hit on a pretty cool parallel here too - the Judge is meant to be completely impartial, and while she likes some of the stuff people have made, does she love humanity? Not even in a traditionally divine way, but the way Michael and Janet and their own enormous thesis do?

Edit: shit, I thought this was the SUPPORTERS playing ger testimony and I briefly felt physically sick to my stomach.

As much as this was an incredibly important episode story wise it was also probably one of the densest sources of good jokes this season - which is saying a lot because some other episodes were gold as well.

Given Kristen Bell was in her mid 20s for the production of VM (and barely did anything of note acting wise in her teens) that entire rumour seems a little confused.

The fact that they never considered this when making this rule or even thought of updating it tells you how they view the world.

“The Hand” is my favourite this year, I think. The thought of just a floating hand is creepier to me than any beastie in a horror movie for some reason. The crawlspace one is also fucked. It reminds me of one maybe last year or the year before where a girl’s neighbour was watching her through a little cave they’d made

Out: gender reveal parties

The first few lines of this read like copy from the J Peterman catalog.

So apparently I have seen a ghost but I was too young to remember.

This story isn’t especially scary, but it is creepy. So, let me tell you about the time I jogged between dimensions.

My first year of law school I got my first ever apartment. It was still student housing owned by the university and the size of a shoebox, but it was a huge upgrade from a dorm. It even came with a free landline phone and phone line (back when people used landlines to conserve cell phone minutes).

This isn’t too scary, maybe just a bit spine tingling.
