Stories can be any length. In fact, the scariest story in the world is sixteen words long:

That’s a Black Mirror episode I’d like to see.

Every single original Powerline lightning cable I’ve got is still going strong, including the ones in the vehicle chargers that get stepped on and the ones the kids use as hangers.

Why fix your broken ice breakers when you can kill the EPA and enact measures that will quickly melt the ice in the Arctic ?

Brown people don’t come from the coasts to steal our lettuce picking jobs.

At the same time, the 85th percentile isn’t always safe - for instance, a road can be designed for much higher speeds, but has traffic and usage patterns that require traffic to be going more slowly for safety reasons.

People *in the US* get more lenient penalties for DUI accidents, than people *in the UK* get for speeding in a residential zone.

If you can’t respect speed limits without “constantly staring at your dash” it’s obvious you shouldn’t be driving on public roads.

I disagree. I can tell you road speed in any car I drive semi regularly. I don’t know how you don’t make the correlation. The feel of the engine, what gear you’re in ect.

When I was corporate, I’ve was explicitly told that “Raises are for cost-of-living and inflation. We hired you for a certain amount to do a certain job. If you want more money, get promoted.” Of course, I asked “How do I get promoted?” Response: “Do the job you want in addition to your job.”
Tried that for 3 years. No
