Here to also shill the Ridgeline. Great 2-row SUV that happens to have a truck bed and can do nearly everything a “truck” can do with better ergonomics, better on-road manners, and better mileage.

It drives 10x nicer than a Tacoma, for sure
Ridgeline owner here as well. I love my truck -- I was able to fit a full pallet of grass, something that I would not have been able to in the more narrow bed of the other midsize trucks.
I would probably dig a Ridgeline as well
“The interior of Tacoma is where it really shines”
But it is better than an Si... at all the things that an Si does not strive to be. That’s the point of the Integra. It’s a car that captures a fair amount of the spirit of an Si and then adds a dollop of adult comfort and style. It’s basically the exact car that I, as a 50+ year old car enthusiast of modest means,…
What are you going on about? The Civic Si is a kind of stripped down, sporty, largely uncomfortable car for a very specific buyer.
I think it is better, but it’s better at what it wants to be: An all-purpose sport luxury sedan. The Si is more performance-oriented, but less omnicapable. Two different cars for two different kinds of buyers
This is a good one, I’ve considered replacing my full size truck with a mid size now that they have the towing capacity I need, but after driving a rental Tacoma the other week, it felt just as big when maneuvering, but much smaller inside than my truck, with a much lower towing/payload capacity. My parents ranger…
Tacoma
True but they like to complain about fuel c0sts with a 80mi commute and slap “I did that” stickers to everything but their own bumper.
Driving in hilly terrain, this definitely works. And the effect is even more pronounced if you’re towing something. Your speed will vary a lot when doing this and it can be annoying in heavy traffic. Cruise control only wants to make sure you are going the same speed all the time with no thought about minimizing use…
Eh, I think there is a little bit of truth to this, main reason being that if there are any hills, cruise will actively decelerate the car on the downhill which wastes the energy. This is particularly true of modern cars that have ACC and will actually apply the brakes with cruise rather than overrunning the set point.…
I ended up in a conversation where I mentioned hypermiling to describe driving at a steady rate, anticipating/coasting to slow downs, and other similar items that improve fuel economy. I ended up in a long-winded conversation with someone who believed ‘pulse and glide’ was the ultimate form of hypermiling. It’s…
Totally agreed. I can find a knob or button on the dash or steering wheel that I used frequently quite easily. This past weekend we took my wife’s Mercedes for a ride and she could not figure out how to tune in an actual radio station.
I drive a Fiesta, before that a Del Sol. I know little cars, and would pick one over a crossover, SUV, truck, etc any day. I can brake faster and shorter, I can zip and zag. I can easily maneuver through places most other cars can’t go. Parking is no sweat. Oh, the only spot available is the one with the tree planter…
My answer too. Fuck this stupid touch screen shit forever.
Racing Green with tan interior
Smaller car design.
Tailfins and boattails, give me that classic nonsense style. It just has a sense of style that you don’t get these days. Also, I’d like tactile controls in the cabin again, because fuck the touchscreens.
