In my case, when buying cars I’ve always known what I want and how much I want to spend for it. I don’t expect salespeople to wow me with knowledge, I’m only there to get a specific trim at a specific price and that’s it. I’ve already done my research, I’ve already compared prices, frankly all I need is is someone to

People are buying the fantasy. The actual numbers don’t really matter, except maybe 1/4 mile times. What percentage of superbike buyers can even approach 80% of the bike’s abilities? Not too fucking many. It’s been overkill since 1986 and the first GSXRs. The magazines are to blame for most of it in the 90's

I trust 0% of the ‘accidental’ leaks coming out of Ford right now. They took one look at the V8 Jeep and said, well, better one-up them.

Electrify America charges per minute based on your charging speed, and it’s expensive. With our Bolt, IPL would charge us about $22 for the electricity that we use in a month (if we were to install a dedicated EV meter, which we have not). The husband’s office charges $14/month for unlimited access to its Level 2

IDK, I see a lot of the “L” driving giant pickup trucks instead of giant SUVs.

How about smaller trucks and less-shitty infotainment systems?

That Deutz diesel is the loudest goddamn thing you can sit within 20 feet of and not be in an airliner. Seriously.

The flat ENGINE is PART of what makes a wing a wing. The 1100/1200 wings were still good if not amazing for their time.

Having too many Tabs open will do that.

Just get two bikes, it’ll be easier and better packaged.

Seems like it would make more sense to just get a Transit over a 4-door crew-cab model. Not sure what you could put in that bed that wouldn’t just fit in the van. A regular cab (or extended cab with the jumpseats like the old Rangers)/longer bed would be fucking dope, though.

Said it before, will say it again. Sidewall=good. The more sidewall, the less of those forces transfer into the car. Yes youll lose some handling, but for a daily driver? More sidewall.

So the new Jeep Gladiator made minor adjustments to the 7 slot grill to get a little more air for cooling, and you want to put two of these in front of it?

The bed/tailgate is stupid high on my dad’s ‘19 ranger.  And the tow hitch is so high, it demands drop-hitch adapters to tow anything normal.

I’m not sure about 20 years ago, but the cargo bed floor is 7" higher than what it used to be for the 1/2 ton vehicles from 40 years ago compared to now.  I don’t think the average human has gotten 7" taller in that timespan.

Baffles me that so many people think vehicles should be priced by the pound like a chunk of meat.

I put “mid-sized” in air quotes like an A-hole because modern trucks in this category tend to seem pretty large compared to the trucks I grew up looking at in the ’90s.”

That was certainly a thing for a while. I have a couple brochures with a full red lineup.

Yep. My dad had a slant six on a car that never died.... But one morning the engine was on the concrete, as the frame had rusted out and gave way. Had it towed away same day, and another $1000 beater two days later.
