Worst would be 2wd pickup trucks.

Maybe suspension isn’t the correct term, but most all decent tracked systems I’ve seen have (vertically) movable bogey wheels that allow some play in the tracks when going over uneven terrain. Otherwise, the tracks would have less traction and much less stability over uneven ground. The amount of bogey wheel travel

Most (all?) good track systems have a decent suspension, where the bogey wheels adjust and conform to the landscape.  This allows maximum traction over an uneven landscape.

I wonder what the ground pressure (psi) of that machine is? Those tracks can really spread the weight out.

That name sounds a little "cagey" to me.

I’d ridden a number of dirt bikes before then.

Sweet tires!  Would have loved to see a couple other tire categories in this comparo.... say, maybe a Michelin CrossClimate, an LTX Defender, maybe an A/T tire and a M/T tire, a couple different A/S tires.

It would be interesting to see the After-Action Report, or AAR. How many of the stranded vehicles had winter survival kits? How many had proper winter tires? How many of those drivers absolutely had to be on the road? Was their enough media blitz warning against this (through FB, social media, TV, radio, etc.)? If so,

I like how South Dakota does it. Sand with a little salt mixed in, particularly at intersections, stop signs and bottoms of hills.  Low salt = low rust = low environmental impact.

AND a plastic dustpan works great for precision work, and takes up little space.

Here in the southern part of Dakota country, it was -18°F here this morning, with -47°F wind chill. Wind chill might get up to -39 today, up to -20 by Saturday, and finally above zero sometime Sunday afternoon. Only an inch of snow on top of the 4-5" already there, but it has blown up into 1'-2' drifts.

Not too surprising, when you also consider the job turnover during the pandemic.

It might almost be worth it just to tell people you own a ‘vette.

True. Most young men believe they are immortal until they are around 27 years old. They should not be allowed to participate on most crotch rockets until they reach 28 or have specialized training. OTOH, this could negatively impact the organ donor program.

The real story here is the Ducati. Not so much the specific motorcycle, but that you can go get most any liter bike and have supercar acceleration, for under $20k.

Ref: hybrid relevancy

1st Gear:  I hope EPA isn't surprised that vehicles are getting larger, since their own rules encourage manufacturers to build larger vehicles.

Worst modern car: Ford Fusion Hybrid. Rode like a skateboard, Luke it had no suspension. Tolerable for ten-mile trips, not so tolerable for anything significantly longer...

Not just emergencies... I live near a large recreation area with multiple state parks, and on a holiday weekend it is difficult to get any kind of cell service. Too many tourists streaming content in the campgrounds....

My Dad would listen to the baseball games.  The inherent white noise of the AM radio was great for falling asleep in the back seat as a young kid who had no interest in baseball yet!
