Agreed. Need to get DMVs involved instead of just mfrs.

I've got AM radios all around the house. Best-sounding one is the overpriced C.Crane radio. Best little radio is Sony ICF-S10MK2, pulls in stations from far away. It's been discontinued, but I got several for less than $10 each. Closest match is a Vondior radio on Amazon, but I don't know if they have the same…
Growing up on the prairie, AM radio was our lifeline to news and entertainment back in the 70s and 80s (we got 2.5 channels on TV, 3.5 with a rotor, and on good days, one or two of the channels would even come in in color!).
Because people are too lazy or too dumb or too conspiracy-minded to get their cars repaired.
Thanks for that!
Thank you, that is helpful! Most cops around here pay no attention to bikes, whether they are on the road, on bike paths or sidewalks.
I've heard that before. What's magic about 28mph, I wonder?
You’re kinda right. Problem is that those cost 5x-8x more, much heavier, probably slower to charge for same range, and I don’t need that big of a battery.
I would be in if it could do 35mph. And 40mph would be much better! I’d settle for a massive hit to range for that speed, like 15-20 miles.
How many more points is it worth? The Honda Ridgeline was designed in the U.S., built in the U.S. with parts from U.S. vendors, using U.S. labor for the manufacture as well as all of the parts supplied by vendors. A few profits might go to a couple overseas senior executives, but most of the upper management is in the…
My experiences at the Honda dealers have been ok, nothing great and nothing bad. Usually the only bad part is the F&I office, as they always seem to come up with a scheme that I hadn’t thought of beforehand. I keep my smartphone handy with an interest calculator to check their numbers (theirs are usually wrong, and in…
Kogod's list is a little biased toward vehicles with U.S. headquarters. As an example, the Ridgeline has more American content than the F150, but the F150 edges it out because they get their six points for having headquarters in the U.S. They don't go into where shareholders are from...
Didn’t watch the video because, well, it’s a video. I prefer to read.
Good take. Also, honorable mention to the 340 six-pack in SCCA / race form. This engine had better valvetrain geometry than the SBC. I think it was also one of the first commonly-available V8s to produce more than 1hp/c.i., in non-racing form.
I would need bike lanes in large clear plastic tube. Two lanes going each way so that you could get around the slow folks. The tube would, most importantly, keep out card, and almost as importantly, keep out weather, such as rain, snow and fog.
This could make a difference depending on whether it’s a small forest outside of D.C., or, say, a big forest in northern Montana that can commonly see subzero through the winter.
Agreed. It’s a bit of a torture chamber for anything more than a 30-minute drive. It does have a reputation for being reliable, but the Gen3 (Gen 2.5?) has left a lot of fan boys with a very sour taste in their mouth. Poorly-sorted drivetrain and whiny differentials are the biggest complaints.
But....but.... but, it doesn't have tiny round headlights! :(
Honda has the best manual transmissions in the business. Their automatics? Not so much. Especially for the higher-HP motors.
I heard they will have an extended version, and it will be called Grand Cruiser...
