That’s because the old vents pushed a lot of air. Hardly any air comes through vents on new cars, so they don’t get beat up nearly as much.

I wonder if my Amazon order was on that plane?

Simple, really.  Has the employee ever gotten vaccinated for anything else?  If so, then why can't they receive this vaccination?  Look at the precedents.

Chrysler was actually onto something here, even if they did do it half-assed. The driver is easily the most significant factor in a vehicle’s fuel economy. This is why it is so easy to game the EPA estimates by +/- up to 50%, depending on your vehicle and how you drive.

Ah, back when Toyota made good-looking trucks that were reliable!

Motorcycle carb for PC water cooling? I can see using a motorcycle radiator, but not a carb.

Yeach, I was thinking more from the standpoint of modding the vehicle, although that is mostly just adding accessories nowadays, but lift kits and tires can make a big difference.

Yup.  Pickup trucks are the new musclecars now.

Maybe it’s just me, but look at the physics. It’s an empty van, so most of the weight is over the front wheels.

Another vote for chicken tax.  It really stifled American ingenuity on small trucks.

I can get a set of four alloys with winter tires mounted and balanced for $1300 shipped to my house, complete with tpms sensors and appropriate lugnuts. I already have the tools for a 30-minute swap in the driveway. It would take me 30 minutes just to drive to the nearest garage to have someone else do it.

Coyotes.

I’ve got a second set of wheels for my winter tires. I swap them out in about a half-hour in my driveway twice a year, so the only expense for me (other than initial purchase) is an hour of my time each year.

Autonomous won’t be safe until all cars are autonomously communicating with each other. That will eliminate car-to-car accidents, but probably not collisions with other obstacles, such as pedestrians, farm tractors, rogue vehicles with actual drivers, etc.

My Top5 stupid things:

If EV cars had swappable batteries, you could “fuel up” faster than pumping gas.

@RoryCarroll, no offense, but I probably would have kicked your a$$ if you had driven up my driveway while it had snow on it. Once you drive on that snow, it turns to ice and then becomes a real bitch to remove.

It’s getting harder to mod cars nowadays, and wheels/tires are the easiest and make the biggest difference.

I suspect angry-looking vehicles is some sort of cosplay for insecure drivers to make you think they are tough, kinda like bullies do.

How else are we gonna escalate road rage if we don't everybody thinking everybody else is pissed off?
