Main reason I included Amazon link is for good description and reviews, as well as price matching.  Any well-stocked auto parts store should carry similar (I used to get mine at Napa).

$10 may be more than you want to spend, but you can get some helper springs for those windshield wiper arms, called Wiper Snuggies / Huggies. They work amazingly as long as your wiper motor holds out.

I live in corn country. Fortunately, many fueling stations around here offer both 87 pure gas and 87 ethanol. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember.. There must be enough of us that buy the pure gas, because they keep offering it. I think it has more to do with your state’s legislation than anything else.

Except you'll probably end up with 85-octane, or less.  The octane rating of ethanol is very high, which is why distributors like to punch up the octane of pure gas with the ethanol additive.

The ZF8 would be pretty sweet in this thing.

Sweet headlamp! I’m making do with a LED Lenser H7. I’ve been EDCing a Fenix LD40 on my Keychain for the last decade, wife has a Nitecore rechargeable keychain flashlight, one of their first.

They don’t want make the new one look bad.

Also, electric is more efficient at slow speeds, such as found in off-roading.

Just put a big hand-crank generator in the frunk, then you can crank it like you’re trying to start a Model T.

I did too, about five years ago. Then got busy with family, and have been happy just occasionally perusing the Fenix store and holding myself to one torch per year.

Let’s pass this bill, with a rider that recalls the Chicken Tax, then call it a draw.

Really?  It was a huge difference just going down a little bit in size with my mountain bike. Granted, a lot of that was rolling resistance, but with tires half of the oem weight, the bike felt twice as light.

@DavidTracy, sounds like you’re spending too much time over at CandlepowerForums. Get that monkey off your back.

Forgive my ignorance, but why are the tires so HUGE on these things? Seems you could go with a much thinner tire and get 2-3x better efficiency.

I put a 700W unit in my wife’s Accord when it was new back in 2008. Ran cable through the firewall and hardwired to the battery. It sits under the passenger seat. She used to travel travel lot and used a breathing machine occasionally for her asthma, and this was just the ticket. Also worked for her laptop.

Perhaps they meant “upgrade” in terms of sound quality. A v8 sounds much better than a v6, no doubt about that. You often don’t get to use all of that horsepower, but if you can sound like you have lots of horsepower? That’s the gravy!

My first bike was a GL1200 Interstate. However, I had ridden dirt bikes prior to that, and 3-wheelers and trail bikes prior to that.

Many full-size trucks have hard back seats unless you pony up for the expensive trims.

Donto drive that nice car on salty roads! Those things are getting hard to find! Use a Ford Fiesta or something, for Pete’s sake!

1st Gear: VW has plants in TN and KY, also, but that’s probably just nothing...
