I can’t decide whether to put this in a Jeep, or put it in a Roxor, then put the Roxor’s diesel engine in the Jeep....

That’s funny! Electrify the vehicle not known for having reliable electrics!

Cuz you’re gonna need room for all the batteries in the front...

I have the General Altimax Arctic (which are one-generation-old Hakkapeliitta design) on my Accord, and my wife has Blizzaks on her Accord. I’d put the General/Nokians right up there with the Blizzaks. In fact, i think my Generals perform a little better, but i have a four-cylinder and she has a V6, so my car is

My guess is that MN, WI and MI use a lot of road salt, so studs are less necessary. Head over to the Dakotas and they use sand/gravel and very little salt, so studs may be more beneficial there.  Plus, they have a lot less traffic, so less impact from studs overall.

I’d go with little cameras showing views directly in front of each tire contact patch. Cameras are getting pretty cheap nowadays. Have several at each wheel in case some get dirty. At least once facing forward and sideways, and one facing rearward and sideways.

I agree with that concept, except trailer designs border on infinite. Therefore, what is needed is a standard connection on the seven-pin harness to run a generic camera feed, and then the end user chooses their own camera options to fit their specific trailer. There should also be a standard display screen somewhere

Let’s talk about baggage claim etiquette! Why do people feel the need to rush up to the baggage carousel and stand right next to it? This prevents other people from seeing their baggage, and also results in pushing and shoving as people in the back try to grab their bags.

I suggest allowing it on the passenger side for a while. This will give consumers time to get used to it, and mfrs time to work out the bugs, in a non-critical location.

Counterpoint: it would be cool if they could put them on extending stalks when a vehicle is equipped with a tow package. Got a wide trailer back there? Hit the button to extend the stalks so you get a better view around and behind you. Side benefit is you don’t destroy a $300 mirror if you whack something in tight

That front end...

Back in the day, i owned a Gold Wing (‘84 Interstate). Although i did take it cross-country a few times, i mostly used it for commuting and grocery store runs. The bike really handled traffic with ease, could hold plenty of groceries or my lunch cooler, i could park it anywhere without worrying about a couple thieves

Sad to hear they are still using pressed-on cam gears. They obviously know there have been issues there, so maybe they’ve engineered a fix into the process?

Diesels seem to do better in the real world than their Monroney stickers indicate, relative to the gassers. I suspect that is because automakers are better able to game the EPA tests with the more flexible powerband of the gassers.

Neutral:

Consider that most mfrs only make a few parts of their cars, such as the frame/body, engine, transmission and sheet metal. Most everything else, like lights, seats, computers, sensors, wheels, brakes, tires, suspension, differentials, glass, HvAC, infotainment, airbags, seat belts, instrument panels, etc., comes from

I would do something like a Honda 2.0T on an airboat.

I hate to say it, because i love driving as much as the next guy, but one of the best routes to efficient transportation is autonomous driving with ALL vehicles communicating with each other.

What we really need is bluetooth-controlled brake bleeders....

I wouldn’t mind the Avalon for my wife, but that front grill is just too big and ugly, and we have a lot of bugs on/around the roads and ditches around here, so it would get clogged up quickly with any night driving.
