Fair enough. I certainly applaud the spirit and don’t question the skills of the team. They put out some good cars given their resources.

It doesn’t help that the pay structure in F1 only awards the top 10 constructors, meaning Manor were always going to be in the red.
Points for trying? Maybe, but I’m not sure. You’ve got to deduct a few points for thinking it was a good idea at all. Manor was an organization that certainly knows a lot about racing and has had some success in other series. But F1 is nuts. When you look at how ineffective McLaren / Honda has been and all the…
There’s been some really bad teams in F1. Honda, while they’ve been poor, don’t even crack the top ten.
In the Google image it is clearly blocking the sidewalk, so the HOA actually has some leverage there.
Sorry, Torch. The guy’s hobbies are defendable if this were a house not in an HOA. The moment an HOA is involved, the residents have an obligation to abide by the rules. Another thing to note is the fire truck was in his driveway, but extending onto the sidewalk. The sidewalk is a public space. If he can not keep…
Airbags smoke. When a car I was driving and it went off, there was white chalkish substance everywhere - which is the chemical used to inflate them. And you most assuredly notice an airbag deploying. The passenger in the car I was in the backseat of caught the airbags in the testacles.
I think we should take these neighbors, along with the neighbors who want that one guy’s tricked out garage gone, and all the other shitty “dont’ step on my lawn” neighbors and put them all in the same neighborhood. Then they can all yell at each other and, literally, nobody will care.
Hey, SXSW and Formula E at the same time kind of sounds like a Forza Horizon vibe. Could be cool!
Anonymous complaints are BS (for the most part). I’m sure Mr/Mrs anonymous wouldn’t be so complainy if they were face to face with with their neighbor. Cowards.
Usually it is required upon purchase of a home
“No HOA” was one of the absolutely essential parts of my home search a few years back, both as an auto enthusiast and as a musician.
Why do people join HOAs?
Honest question, I’ve never heard of *any* good reason to be part of one; they just seem like you’re agreeing to give control over what you can and can’t do on your property to the worst bored old-lady busybody stereotypes.
Its normally one neighbor that complains, the neighbor who complains about everything that isn’t the exact way that they believe it should be done because they know better than everyone else and having to deal with others views are a constant pain to them.
I’m going to the race in Brooklyn, because hell, when was the last time there was an auto race in NYC? I’m not sure what to expect, but I’ve read they make them artifically loud for the full experience. I’m kind of excited.
The alert should have been with the eyes that God gave him.
Autopilot aside, usually lane-shifting barriers are more gradual than this. And there are no signs on the left side of the road. I’m not saying the driver wasn’t at fault, but i’m not so sure proper procedure was followed by the construction crews
The auto braking system in my car is virtually 100% false positives. In fact, I can’t remember a single time where it needed to brake in a situation I wasn’t already in control of. It’s turned off.
Autopilot should never be used
in construction zones.
And don’t do this.
The driver says the vehicle’s Forward Collision Warning didn’t initiate, which would’ve alerted the driver in some fashion if an object is within the vehicle’s path.
