I thought of that, actually, and we are most likely stuck with it through the season, at minimum. Closest I know was the 2002 Aarons 312 at Talladega there was an early wreck involving thirty cars. Nineteen were taken out in the wreck.

For most of the race only 4 cars were on the lead lap, and because one of them blew an engine only 3 cars finished on the lead lap. 10th place car was 11 laps down. You could kinda…
