At this point, it would be news if we found something that Trump did understand.
Umm....yeah...I get symbolism and speculative fiction. That does not change the fact that example does not appear to acually be about profiling, even if it intended to be.
Except....How is this analogous to profiling? This is someone seeing an actual crime (believable future or not). Not about someone assuming the wrong thing about a set of individuals.
“Because once you get outside of Superman and Batman, you’re gonna start reaching.”
As well, the Green Lantern movie didn’t fail because he was a second tier character, the Green Lantern movie failed because it was terrible.
Audiences don’t have to choose. It’s not an either/or proposition. They deliberately don’t release these movies head to head. The notion that you have to choose between the Avengers or Aquaman is just asanine. You know what audiences do like though? Good movies and logical story progression.
I don’t get the argument that they didn’t have the time. Where is this imaginary deadline they were up against that stopped them from building a solid foundation for their universe? What was the penalty for releasing more self contained solo movies before doing something like Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad or…
I’m still sure these are characters inside the game. They all look like stereotypical explorers - including a tourist that doesn’t want to be there, a daring adventurer, a Tomb Raider and a scientist that collects tropical specimen. They fit nicely with the hunter cliché that was Van Pelt in the original movie.…
Erm, I hate to defend this horrible book, but this isn’t the first, second, third or even fourth time someone has been “profiled” and been subject to violence since Civil War II began. The fact that Miles happens to be half-black is a coincidence. Literally all the other people I can think of who were profiled have…
The first Marvel Civil War wasn’t one of my favorite comic runs, because in some instances, heroes on both sides turned into hand-wringing villains depending on who was writing them and how that writer felt about the character’s side in the conflict. But it at least had a decent premise for the conflict... should…
Well, people are poor because it is the very few wealthy ones exploiting a broken system.
8 cars is still less than 20 cars. Middle class spending, be it vehicles, technology, real estate, or leisure, is still the single most important thing to our economy. No matter how you want to put it the impact of the rich in our consumer driven economy is negligible because they don’t buy as much as the rest of us.…
Uhm .... us have nots and working people are not “a lot better off” when the ultra rich spend their money as you say. The economic impact of the 1% spending habits is almost negligible in our consumer driven economy. A billionaire buying a $500,000 sports car is not going to impact the economy in the way that 20…
Fuck me.
I thought Gawker shut down.
They had to justify inclusion...
“Quick, we need to write an article about a celebrity breakup and post it to a tech site even though it has nothing to do with the nature of the site!”
Fixed it for you.
