I’m also getting people commenting that all the attacks are because the “PC brigade” have oppressed bigots for too long and it’s a backlash for minorities and women not being good little nobodies and keeping their mouths shut.

The problem is that they really believe they are being true to their word. Half the country believes Trump is off the charts fucking nuts. He appears so off his rocker to me it’s stunning.

I’ve been arguing all week with my friends who voted for President-Elect Cheeto, and all I have to say is this: If you tell me you “will not tolerate racism, hate, harassment or violence,” but you voted for Trump, then you really aren’t being true to your word.

What exactly is his plan to help them? Massive tax cuts for the rich and a vague plan to magically replace NAFTA with something “amazing”??

He’s not going to be able to do anything for them, is the point. He lied to their faces and they ate it up. 

They are not all white supremacists, but they are perfectly fine with voting for someone who is racist and was actively courting white supremacists for their votes which makes them slightly less bad.

What difference does it make if Trump’s supporters are actually all racist (btw David Duke says “hi”) when the people he will install into power promote an actively racist agenda?? Who cares what’s in these people’s heart of hearts? The policy which has been promised is a decidedly racist one.

I don’t think most Trump supporters are white supremacists. But it would be a lie to say Trump didn’t run a racially divisive campaign and some of the top people he picked to be in his cabinet have a history of promoting divisive immigration and voting laws. To ignore that is to ignore reality.
