Or Russian cars...

Buttons! Switches! Knobs! Speakers! Stripes! Does it get any better?

The two best memories date back to the ‘70s:

Yes, but who was Watchung as he did this?

Years ago we had a ramp agent use a pushback tug for a small narrowbody on a loaded 767F. It was fine until he had to do an emergency stop, and the lack of weight meant that he was dragged along for the ride whilst his aircraft slammed right into the one pulling into the alley...

Looking at the curvature of the rear fender, the first thing that outline says to me is ‘2-door Impala’. Probably not what they meant...

We dealt with a lot of the bottom feeders in the industry but none were as bad as Spirit. Well, maybe Allegiant, but they were a special level of hell. Others were cheap, but not nearly as annoying about it.

Well, janitorial doesn’t take out the trash in my current temporary office, nor do my co-workers, so I do it. We also charge $0.25 for a cup of coffee. But my employers and co-workers are not dicks, and for the most part I like going to work. The attitude of management has a lot to do with it, something Spirit has yet

Spirit used to be one of my customers when I was in the airline business. You know what? They’re cheap bastards in every aspect of their operations (except, probably, upper management), and this comes as absolutely no surprise to me whatsoever. Fuck ‘em.

Oh yeah. With the 6MT. Lovely, rare little car.

Because a spoiler would be too ‘sporty’ and might raise the insurance rates. They saved the spoiler for the Ciera GT model (or was that the Ciera 442?) (4 cylinders, 4 doors, 2 bands on the radio)

I like buttons and switches inside of cars and wish I had a calculator (and full trip computer) built into mine. I tried replacing the stock radio with one with a big LCD screen, but I missed all of the buttons and reinstalled a factory stereo.

My mom’s 1976 Fiat 124 Sport Spyder had the luggage rack, and if you knew how shallow that trunk was, you’d know it was a necessity. Three or four of us in that car on long drives up the coast meant that there was no space inside. But every time we stopped anywhere we’d have to put the luggage inside, and that too was

I thought that flies liked sh!t...

Well, my record is clean but my credit tanked when I was unemployed and I’m still trying to recover from that, so essentially I’m double fucked...

Well, I filed planned non-operation since I couldn’t afford registration. This was in CA. It seems that they made assumptions that I would drive, which I didn’t, so I’m guilty until proven innocent, something that’s impossible to do. Fuck ‘em all...

I’ll second this. Whilst my license wasn’t suspended, I did voluntarily give up driving when I was underemployed. I couldn’t afford registration and insurance so I filed PNO and got a bus pass instead. Lots of walking, lots of days late to work, but it was the right thing to do. Yes, it was a gigantic PITA.

That thing looks like it lost its EpiPen...

Similar to a few hats I found at the Goodwill Outlet. Haven’t bought a Miata yet, but I do have a Mazda...

Oh, I know - I worked at LAX for years and know all of the service roads and the rules for driving on the ramp. No need to communicate with a tower or any controllers as long as you stay on service roads and give aircraft the right of way, but even then it may not be safe. After midnight, whilst waiting between
