I just want a mid-sized BMW with a smallish engine and a manual transmission, but BMW tells me I either need to buy a smaller car or buy a full-on performance model. I know I’m in the minority, but what can I say - I still remember when you could get a manual even on a 7-series.

I grew up a few miles up the road from SONGS in southern Orange County. When we first moved into the area I recall maps included in the phone books about possible danger zones should an incident occur down there. It wasn’t the peaceful and idyllic world that I thought it was.

As of November 2015 the building at that address is still standing and appears to be a powder coating company (http://www.leonspowdercoatings.com/locations.html), right next to Home Depot. Given the size of the building I can believe that Fiberfab was once based here.

Very few cars in the US have rear fog lights, and given how stupid most people are when it comes to using their fog lights in this country, this is probably a good thing. I think I’ve seen some Jags with a rear fog on, and of course there wasn’t a speck of fog to be seen. I knew what it was (thanks to car magazines

I’ve found that the best thing to do is get over to the far right lane, slooooooow down and then make yourself as visible as absolutely possible. Years ago I hit some seriously nasty fog in the short drive from Orange County to Los Angeles, got over to the right lane and put on my hazard lights and drove with my brake

Any chance of fitting a V12 in there? I’ll go for a good ol’ 2-stroke DD, the legendary “Buzzin’ Dozen”.

I bet there would be plenty of people willing to give away VW 2.0 liter TDI engines...

That issue with the E21 was just a small, temporary problem. Right after it occured I drove down to my mechanic (only about two miles from the office) and we found the issue, lifted the engine and tranny a bit and rotated them into the correct position, followed by reinstalling the nuts on the mounts. No permanent

Strange wording. My first thought upon seeing the title was “How could my doctor’s office have cancer? Is this a structural issue?” I know what was meant, but still...

Like the metric system?

I’m getting nauseated just looking at that thing!

I had just purchased the E34 as my supple daily driver (below)

I see now - I think. Being under the influence of codiene-based cough syrup you’d think I’d be less literal and more open to crazy ideas, but this one zipped right passed me.

Huh? Unless you’re joking, please explain.

That video looks like how I drive on Ibiza in TDU2.

Years ago, when I drove an E21 320i with a somwhat worn suspension, I used to glide right over the speedbumps in the parking lot at work. 30-40 MPH wasn’t a problem, and they were rarely felt when at speed. Then I put some lowering springs and Bilstein sport shocks and struts. I cruised through the parking lot at

There’s plenty of stuff on the moon that wasn’t placed by humans - just look at all of the Russian landers. Don’t get me wrong - I still believe we landed humans there, but there are plenty of explanations for man-made objects being up there.

Do these helicopter pilots work for Uber? Nothing lines the pockets like a little surge pricing, amirite?

Sometimes, especially when I see her husband eat a bacon double cheesburger, I wonder why she bothers. He’s the Jew and he doesn’t keep kosher, although I’d bet that he does in front of his mother.

Normally I don’t, but years ago the one vehicle left upon my arrival into Tuscon was a freaking Ford F150. Huh? Needless to say, I got out of “take everyone to dinner” duty.
