And the best ones have locking, pass-through storage underneath the bed, fully accessible even when the bed is full (I’m looking at you, Ridgeline...)

I love minivans, I love manual transmissions and I love VWs, yet the Eurovan just leaves me cold and has since day one. Not helping this one is the less-than-subtle wrap; I don’t mind a wrap, especially racing inspired, but this one iis just too much. With all of this in mind, the one VW lover here that DDs a manual…
Emissions controls 25 years of the pack?
Or creating them, as in the case of BMW (and others).
Umm, why?
Well, the eta gasoline six in the comparable 528e was only rated at 121 HP, so the TD engine isn’t really down that many HP from its sibling. Both are low-revving, high-torque engines, but economy, not fun, was what these engines were all about, and commuting (and taxi) duty were where these cars excelled, not canyon…
Oh hell no. I owned one of these, albeit with the stock, 150 hp 3.0l cast-iron lump.
I know what you meant, but, well, lots of 767s land in Canada on a regular basis; it’s just that some don’t quite make it to their intended runway (or province, for that matter)
Damn Feds overstepping their bounds and protecting us from ourselves - free market, amirite?
Pfft - just one engine? If you’re going to put one in the back, you might as well leave the one up front.
Given my avatar, there was only one choice for me:
I’m kind of partial to the TRX wheels of the ‘79 model. These would look great recreated as 17 or 18 inchers.
This pic really makes the extended arches of the Cossie quite noticeable. Or not.
Easy - 1976. In California this is the year at which the rolling exemption for smog checks stops, so if you have a car with crappy emissions systems you can’t replace them with something that will work better, even if it means running cleaner than stock thanks to the idiots in the CARB. This is also a year when good,…
Hmm, looks familiar:
The one MB helped to write? Bastards...
I do like the look of the bare wheel and wanted a set for my E34 (well, I actually wanted the throwing stars), but the price was just too much and I settled on a set from wheels from an E39 540i. I love the look of a black wheel with a polished or silver rim, and these wheels in their bare form look great.
I’ve always hated the whitewall look of the M-system wheels and wonder if they would look better if the rim was left silver and the rest painted black. Somewhat surprisingly I couldn’t find a picture of such a setup.
Even though it’s purely subjective, I was pleased to see Fangio described ‘Greatest Driver Of All Time’. Being the greatest has to be more than just the number of championship titles.
